Receive an overview of the Cultural Arts Office.
Executive Summary
The City of Carlsbad’s historic support of arts and culture as a core value led to the
establishment of its Cultural Arts Office in 1986 as part of the city’s investment in the visual and
performing arts. This vision continues to be supported by the city’s General Plan, City Council
Five Year Strategic Plan, Carlsbad Municipal Code, Art in Public Places Program and the Arts &
Culture Master Plan. This presentation provides an update on current programs and activities.
