Several pipe specifications were included. Pleased correlate actual pipe types and wall thicknessesto applications on the piping plan. [I1YLAh'[C Add point of compass to piping and reflected ceiling plans. Room uses are not noted. Building is presumed to be Light Hazard but any other occupancy hazards should be noted. No definitive table of pipe types is included in plans and calculations. Please furnish note or table that documents pipe types corresponding with diameters shown in the calculations. 3A. No fittings or couplings are shown. For each pipe type note type of fittings - threaded, welded or mechanical attachments. Besides seismic restraint locations shown at ends of lines, verify that restraint spacing conforms to Tables 9.3.6.4(a) based on C, of .57 as calculated. Confirm that flow test hydrant at SRC is at same grade plane as finished floor, or adjust as required. Note post indicator valve and fire department connection as existing or by others as appropriate. Verify that no fire-rated walls or assemblies are being penetrated. If any such penetrations are made, furnish listed fire-stop assembly detail. Note that exterior sprinklers (at least 7) are to be furnished with- corrosion-resistant coating. Revise riser detail so that test/drain valve is downstream of flow switch to be tested by that connection. The third (partial) branch in the design area should encompass the two sprinklers closest to the main, not the two most remote. Please include the sprinklers roughly correlating to nodes 9 and 10 on the adjacent branch. - Notwithstanding the corrections noted above, We find the plans substantially compliant with the requirements of NFPA 13 and reqUirements of the Carlsbad Fire Department. Pursuant to completion of these corrections, we will recommend approval by Carlsbad Fire Department.
