Dear Mr. Plude:
As per t h e requ est of Mr. Louis Bikadi, owner , for the
above mentioned lot, we h ave performed two moisture con-
tent tests on the existing n ative ground where the proposed
footings and slab-on-grade will be located.
Moisture t ests were performed on November 23 , 1981, and
yielded moisture contents of 14% and 16 %. Depths of
tests were t a k en 1 2 inches below existing grade. Please
refere nce attached Pl ate No . 1 .
It is our recommendati on that moisture determinati ons be
made after the footin gs are excavated. Twenty-four hours
prior to the pouring of the footings and/or slab-on-grade ,
t h e ground should be thorough ly soaked to the prescri bed
moisture content. Our firm will the n make moisture deter-
minati ons just before concrete is p laced into footings
a nd/or slab-on-grade to ascertain optimum pouring condi tions.
