It ls recommended that the following special design and precautions be taken for the houses to
be constructed on the above lots:

Type A Lots
Avoid the use of isolated interior piers. Use continuous footings throughout,
and place these at a minimum depth of two feet below the lowest adjacent
exterior final ground surface.
Reinforce and interconnect continuously with steel bars all interior and
exterior footings with one #5 bar at 3 inches above the bottom of the footings
and one II 5 bar placed l 1/2 inches below the top of the stems of the footings.
Exercise every effort to assure that the soil under the foundations and slabs has
a uniform moisture content, 1 percent to 3 percent greater than optimum through-
out the top 3 feet below finis ed grade at the time of placing foundations and
slabs. I U < / :) .
Use raised wooden floors that span between continuous footings, or use all
concrete slabs with 6 x 6 -10/10 welded wire fabric and provide a minimum
of 4 inches of clean sand beneath all concrete slabs. A moisture barrier
should be provided in the sand layer 2 inches below slabs under living areas.
~ Separate garage slabs from perimeter footings by a 1/2 inch thickness of con-
struction felt or equivalent, to allow independent movement of garage slabs
relative to perimeter footings. Assure complete separation by extending the
felt over the full depth of the front thickened edge of the garage slob. Also,
cut off the garage door stops at least 1/2 inch above the slab.
6. Provide positive drainage away from all perimeter footings to a horizontal
distance of at least 6 feet outside the house wal Is.
Type 8 Lots
Those lots 1 isted as Type 8 lots should follow oil the above-I isted recommendations with the two
following exceptions:
1. The continuous footings may be placed at a minimum depth of 18 inches below
the lowest adjacent exterior final ground surface rather than the two feet
recommended for Type A lots.
2. Single # 4 bars placed as directed {above) near tops and bottoms of all interior
and exterior footings may be substituted for the #5 bars recommended for
Type A lots.
Recommendations 3 to 6, inclusive, as fisted for Type A lots, ore also applicable to the Type
B lots. •

The application must be signed by the owner (or his authorized representative) of the
property to be served. The total charges mu s t be paid to the District at the time the
application is submitted.
If a service lateral is required, it will be installed by the Leucadia County Water
District. The service lateral is that part of the sewer system that extends from the
main collection line in the s treet (or easement) to the point in the street (at or near
the applicant's property line) where the service lateral is connected to the applicant's
building sewer. The applicant:i. is responsible for the construction, at the applicant,s
expense, of the sewer pipeline (building sewer) from the applicant's plumbing to the
point in the street (or easement) where a connection is made to the service lateral.
The connection of the applicant's building sewer to the service lateral shall be made
by the applicant at his expense. The connection must be made in conformity with the
District's specifications, rules and regul ations; and IT MUST BE INSPECTED AND APPROVED
BY THE DISTRICT BEFORE THE SEWER SYSTEM MAY BE USED BY THE APPLICANT. THE APPLICANT, OR
HIS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE, MUST NOTIFY THE DISTRICT AT THE TIME INSPECTION IS DESIRED.
ANY CONNECTION MADE TO THE SERVICE LATERAL OR COLLECTION LINE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL AND
INSPECTION BY THE DISTRICT WILL BE CONSIDERED INVALID AND WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED.
After connection is complete, the property described above is subject to a monthly
sewer service charge, billed bi-monthly in advance. The rate will be governed by the
use of the property, single family, multiple dwelling or commercial •. Non-payment of
the sewer service charge is s ubject to a 5% penalty per mon th, plus disconnection if
n ecessary.
