A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO SERVE
AS MAYOR PRO TEMPORE FOR A TERM ENDING IN DECEMBER 2025, OR
UNTIL A REPLACEMENT IS APPOINTED
WHEREAS, Council Member Bhat-Patel was appointed on Dec. 12, 2023, by Resolution No.
2023-293 to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad City Council Member is appointed to serve as Mayor Pro
Tempore for a term ending in December 2025, or until a replacement is appointed:
Priya Bhat-Patel
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Joint Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, and the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of the City of Carlsbad, California, on
the 14th day of January 2025, by the following vote, to wit:
