I observed the epoxy process of #3 and #4 rebar dowels into the (E) concrete as noted below. Epoxy product: Simpson SET XP, #F1167F1 408, exp. 11 /19 Locations: (1) #4 T. & 8. at each of (2) (N) to (E) footing connections per det. 7/01. #3 slab dowels at 32" o.c. per det. 6/SD1 . Hole diameters: 1/2" at #3 and 5/8" at #4. Effective embedment: 4" at all. Note: All holes were drilled with a rotary hammer drill and carbide tipped bit, then brushed with a nylon brush and blown out with compressed air until dust free prior to injecting the epoxy. The entire procedure meets or exceeds plan details and ESR-2508 requirements. No discrepancies were observed or noted. All work is subject to City of Carlsbad approval.
