Receive a report from the Chief of Police regarding recent events in the City of Carlsbad.

This action has no fiscal impact.

and Homeless Division regarding option for Council to
amend the current Unlawful Camping municipal code to
include “no camping” in vehicles
•Council unanimously adopted muni code amendment
•Municipal code went into effect 30 days after adoption
on April 17, 2025
Personnel Additions
•Presentation to Council on 3/4/25 regarding
potential additional personnel requests that
may come forward over the next 5 years to
maintain service level, reduce response times,
and keep up with changing landscape
(population, city events, state housing
mandates, etc.)
•On 3/25/25 Council unanimously approved 6
additional personnel in the next fiscal year
