This plan review is based on regulations enforced by the Building Department. Present California law mandates that residential construction comply with the 1998 edition of the California Building Code (Title 24 ), which adopts the following model codes: 1997 UBC, 1997 UPC, 1997 UMC and 1996 NEC (all effective 7/1/99).
