Page 2 Review Comments Sea Breeze Villas, Building A-B-C,, 391 Tamarack Avenue, Carlsbad, CA 1. General notes #4 and #8 should be revised, however no resubmittal is required. General note #4 should reference section 2308.2 of the 2010 California Building Code General note #8 should reference the 2010 California Plumbing Code. 2. The water supply information on sheet 1 of the plans was shown as being provided by the contractor. Verify that this is acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction. The following comments are for your information and will appear on every residential sprinkler review. The alarm bell must be capable of being heard, above background noise, with doors closed, in all living areas of the residence. This will be checked at final acceptance. Pressure required at base of riser will be verified to be available at time of final acceptance. Sprinkler heads are omitted from bathroom areas under 55 SF in area with noncombustible plumbing fixtures. Fixtures will be verified at final acceptance. Sprinkler head blockage or pattern disruption caused by beams or other obstructions will be verified to not exist at final acceptance inspection. Sprinkler heads should be located the proper distance from heat sources (stoves, kitchen ranges, fireplaces, heat diffusers, etc.) This will be checked at final acceptance inspection. Sprinkler heads located in an unconditioned space (garage, water heater closet, etc.) should be fast response type with an appropriate temperature rating, commercial heads are acceptable in these areas.
