DIGITAL COMMUNICATION The XR200F uses the SDLC format to send alarm and system reports to the central station using high speed digital data transfer. MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION The XR200 panel's multiplex capability allows you to meet requirements for installations where UL AA multiplex communication is either required or a viable option. EXPANDED HOST OPTIONS The XR200 features enhanced host options that provide host backup, customizable check-in times, retry times, and much more. By enabling the host backup, the panel can send messages via a second 462N card or a network device, such as a DMP iCOMI Internet Alarm Router. DUAL REPORTING You can send reports to one or two DM1' SCS- 1 or SCS- 1 R Receivers and use either receiver as a backup if the other cannot be reached. FIRE ZONE PROGRAMMING You can program zones for fire, fire verify, fire retard, presignal, cross zoning, or fire supervisory. This flexibility allows you to match individual zone characteristics to the needs of any area in the fire installation. ZONE EXPANSION The XRZOOF provides up to 242 fire zones programmable for a variety of fire applications. Six Class B powered zones are provided for supervising fire initiating devices. 28 additional zones are available on the 8 keypad addresses and up to 200 zones can be added using expansion Interface Cards. 200 ADDRESSABLE NOTIFICATION CIRCUITS The XR200F panel supports up to 200 Model 867 Addressable Style W Notification Circuit Modules for individual protected area annunciation. Each 867 can be set to a unique supervisory address and belt relay address for zoned annunciation. BUILT-IN PROGRAMMER AND DIAGNOSTICS The XR200 programmer is on-board and does not require external programming. This allows installers and service technicians to program the panel and run the panel's system diagnostics program from any keypad. UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD PROGRAMMING You can program the XR200F through any alphanumeric keypad or remotely using the DM1' Remote Link' program. OUTPUTS Adding the optional Model 430 Wire Harness and two Model 305 Plug-in output relays to the XR200F panel adds two SPOT relay outputs and eight 12 VDC 50rnA outputs. Model 716 Output Expander Modules increase the panels relay capacity to 202 auxiliary Form C relays and 242 open collector outputs. 200 USER CODES You can assign up to 200 custom user codes in the XR200 panel. AREND, Senior Deputy Program Manager - The Model 823 Horn Strobe (12 VDC) is a tow current design with zero inrush notification appliance. The appliance provides a selectable continuous horn tone or temporal pôttern (Code 3) tone when constant voltage from a Fire Alarm Control panel (FACP) is applied. Select from two settings for each tone: 90 dBA or 95 cIBA. 823 HORN STROBE _JUIiFIcATION APPLIANCE 7777 FEATURES . Low current Mounts in multiple DMP backboxes Zeróinnish Continuous tone: Two selectable tones and d3 levels '• • anechoic 89 or 84 dB; reverberant 82 or 76 dB @ 12 VDC . Maximum humidity of 85% RH ; • candela intensity On axis for ADA guidelines.. 41 ' : I SYNCHRONIZED When used with the DMP 831 or 832 Sync Modules, the continuous horn tone produces a synchronized temporal (Code 3) tone mandated by NFPA 72 1999. This ensures a distinct temporal (Code 3) pattern when two or more horns are within hearing distance. If not synchronized, the temporal sound could overlap and not be distinctive. At the same time, the strobes on the circuit maybe synchronized. This provides the ability to comply with ADA recommendations for photosensitive epilepsy and meet NFPA requirements when installing two or more visual appliances within the field of view. All of this plus the ability to silence the horn is achieved using only two wires! LISTING INFORMATION The 823 Horn Strobes are designed for maximum performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting or exceeding the latest requirements of NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code), ANSI 117.1 (American National Standard for Accessible and Usable Building and Facilities), UL Standard 1971 (Standard for Signaling Devices for the Hearing Impaired), and UL 464 (Audible Signaling Appliances). When properly specified and installed in accordance with NFPA/ANSI standards, the 823 audible strobe appliances provide the Equivalent Facilitation allowed under ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG General Section 2.2) by meeting or exceeding the illumination which results from the ADA specified strobe intensity of 75 candela at 50 feet—an illumination of .030 lumens per square foot. INSTALLATION INFORMATION Warning Contact Digital Monitoring Products for current Installation Instructions and General Information sheets on these products. These documents do undergo periodic changes, and it is important that you have current information on these products. These materials contain important information that should be read prior to specifying or installing these products, including: Total current required by all appliances connected to system primary and secondary power sources. Fuse ratings on notification appliance circuits to handle maximum inrush or peak currents from all appliances on those circuits. Composite flash rate from multiple strobes within a person's field of view. The voltage applied to these products must be within their rated input voltage range. Installation of 110 candela strobe products in sleeping areas. Installation in office areas and other specification and installation issues. Use the 823 only on circuits with continuously applied operating voltage. Do not use the 823 on coded or interrupted circuits in which the applied voltage is cycled ON and OFF as the strobe may not flash. Failure to comply with the Installation Instructions or General Information Sheet could result in improper installation, application, and/or operation of these products in an emergency situation, which could result in property damage and serious injury or death to you and/or others. Conductor size (AWG), length, and capacity should be taken into consideration prior to design and installation of these products, particularly in retrofit installations. NOTICE DMP products must be used within their published specifications and must be PROPERLY specified, applied, installed, operated, maintained, and operationally tested in accordance with their installation instructions at the time of installation and at least twice a year or more often and in accordance with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and laws. Specification, application, installation, operation, maintenance, and testing must be performed by qualified personnel for proper operation in accordance with all of the latest National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Underwriters' Laboratories (UL), National Electrical Code (NAC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Local, state, county, province, district, federal, and other applicable building fire standards, guidelines, laws and codes including, but not limited to, all appendices and amendments and the requirements of the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). GENERAL NOTES Strobes are designed to flash at 1 flash per second minimum from 20-31 VDC (for 24 VDC models) and 10-15.6 VDC (for 12 VDC models). Note that NFPA 72 (1996) specifies a flash rate of 1 t 2 flashes per second and ADA guidelines specify a flash rate of 1 t 3 flashes per second. All candela ratings represent minimum effective Strobe intensity based on UL 1971. TheModel 823 Horn Strobes are listed under UL 1971 for indoor use with a temperature range of 32°Fto 120°F (0°C to 49°C) and maximum humidity of 85%. '..
