Executive Summary This item supports the Arts Commission Work Plan Fiscal Year 2024-25 goal “participate in the Community Arts Grant process.” Persian Place will provide a status update of the use of funds from Fiscal Year 2024-25 Community Arts Grant. The update is being presented by Persian Place Founder and Director, Sadry Hedayat. Explanation & Analysis In fiscal year 2024-25 Persian Place was awarded a Community Arts Grant in the amount of $4,500 for the Emerging Arts Organization category. Persian Place is a nonprofit organization established in 2022 in Carlsbad, with a mission to promote artistic exploration and cultural education centered on Persian art. The organization provides monthly workshops and celebratory events led by artists and educators, offering accessible cultural programming for both adults and youth. These activities are designed to foster appreciation for Persian heritage and support creative expression within the community. Community Engagement None. Fiscal Analysis No financial impact. Next Steps None. Tax ID: 92-2214022 Persian Place is a nonprofit organization created to provide space and time for artistic experimentation and research with an emphasis on Persian art. Persian Place established in Carlsbad in 2022 to celebrate and educate the public about Persian art and culture. Monthly workshops and celebratory events are offered by artists and educators for adults and youth to experience.
