Chai·rmari Rogers requested nominations be made for
selecting a Chairman for the Committee for the
fiscal year 1967-1968.
BY motion of the Committee, W.W. Rogers was re-
elected as Chairman of the Carlsbad·Parking
Authority for the fiscal year 1967-1968.
D.R. Daugherty was re-designated as Secretary
for the ensuing fiscal year.
Presentation was made by Mr. Thornton of revised
plans for ~he parking.lot and new cost estimates
-were presented as contained in a letter dated
June 15, 1967, from Krumm & Sorenson, Architects,
to the City Engineer, which restated the cost •
estimated presented by the May Company and Krumm
&·Sorenson at a meeting of the Parking Authority
held February 15, 1967 to consider same estimates
Several new items, inciuding landscaping and
lighting were incorporated in the revised esti-
mates.
The Assistant City Engineer outlined the require-
ments ~or water lines required by the City over
and above those contained in the basic architect-
ural plan, as well as the addition of Haymar
Drive and erosion protection of the Buena Creek
channel.
After discussion, by motion of the Authority, the
• revised estimate dated June 15, 1967, of amounts
chargeable to the Parking Authority in the sum of
$1,397,650.00 was approved, subject to approval
of the actual bids as received.
By motion of the Authority, it was approved that
the City Council be requested to waive the
following:
A. Sidewalks on the South side of Marron Road
and on the North side, except in the area·adja-
cent to satellite stores on Marron Road. The·
May Company does not desire these sidewalks and
the City would have to pay for a large share of
the cost if required.
