Receive a report from Community Arts Grant recipient, Carlsbad Oceanside Art League.
Executive Summary
Carlsbad Oceanside Art League will provide a status update on the use of funds from Fiscal Year
2024-25 Community Arts Grant. The update is being presented by Carlsbad Oceanside Art
League President, Cheryl Ehlers.
Explanation & Analysis
This item supports the Arts Commission Work Plan Fiscal Year 2024-25 goal “participate in the
Community Arts Grant process.” Carlsbad Oceanside Art League (COAL) was awarded a $5,625
Community Arts Grant for Fiscal Year 2025–26 under the Arts Projects for Arts Organizations
category. Founded in 1951, COAL promotes art education and cultural appreciation by
providing exhibition opportunities and community programs. Grant funds support their
program, “Demo and Expression,” a free monthly series featuring live demonstrations, hands-
on instruction, and exploration of new techniques.
