Subject: 2026 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting Calendar
Recommended Action
Adopt a 2026 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting calendar.
Discussion
Over the last year, the Parks & Recreation Commission has held monthly meetings on the third
Monday of each month, except in January and February, when meetings were held on the
second Monday to avoid conflicts with city holidays. The Commission has also traditionally
recessed from regular meetings in July and December.
Based on the availability of the City Council Chamber, staff is proposing that the Parks &
Recreation Commission continue this schedule in 2026. Meetings would be held on the second
Monday of January and February and the third Monday of all other months, except for the
recess in July and December. Meetings would continue to be held at 5:30 p.m. in the City
Council Chamber. Staff recommend adoption of this meeting calendar for 2026.

ITEM NO. 1: 2026 COMMISSION CALENDAR

•Over the last year, the Commission’s meeting calendar has
consisted of monthly meetings on the third Monday of each
month, except for January and February, when the meetings
were on the second Monday to avoid conflicts with city holidays
•Over the past few years, the Commission has also recessed from
regular meetings in July and December

schedule through 2026, consistent with the 2025 schedule
•Meetings would continue to be held at 5:30 p.m. in the City
