A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER CHRISTOPHER
(SHAYNE) HORTON TO THE POSITION OF CHAIR AND MEMBER BARBARA
BERGER TO THE POSITION OF VICE-CHAIR

WHEREAS, on July 29, 2025, Christopher (Shayne) Horton was appointed to the Housing
Commission; and,
WHEREAS, on July 25, 2023, Barbara Berger was appointed to the Housing Commission; and,
WHEREAS, on Jan. 8, 2026, the Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California held a
noticed public meeting to appoint two members to the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The following individual is appointed to serve as the Chair on the Housing Commission, for
a term ending Dec. 31, 2026, or until a replacement is approved:
Christopher (Shayne) Horton
3. The following individual is appointed to serve as the Vice-Chair on the Housing
Commission, for a term ending Dec. 31, 2026, or until a replacement is approved:
Barbara Berger
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the Housing Commission ofthe City of
Carlsbad on the 8th day of January 2026, by the following vote, to wit:
