Receive a report from Community Arts Grant recipient, Sage Creek High School
Executive Summary
This item supports the Arts Commission Work Plan Fiscal Year 2024-25 goal “participate in the
Community Arts Grant process.” Sage Creek High School will provide a status update on the use
of funds from Fiscal Year 2024-25 Community Arts Grant. The update is being presented by
Sage Creek High School Dance Teacher, Sarah Eichler.
Explanation & Analysis
Sage Creek High School was awarded Community Arts Grants for Fiscal Years 2024-2025 and
2025–26 under the Education Institutions or Affiliated Groups category. The Sage Creek Dance
Program encourages personal and artistic development for students of all skill levels through
tailored instruction in a supportive and inclusive setting. The grant facilitates specialized
training in ballet and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) for high school dance students enrolled
in Dance 1-4, under the guidance of guest artists.

Environmental Evaluation
The proposed action is not a “project” as defined by CEQA Section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines
Section 15378(b)(5) and does not require environment review under CEQA Guidelines Section
15060(c)(3) and 15061(b)(3), because the proposed action to report on Community Arts Grants
recipient report from Sage Creek High School Dance Department is an organizational or
administrative government activity that does not involve any commitment to any specific project
which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment. Any subsequent
action or direction stemming from the proposed action may require preparation of an
environmental document in accordance with CEQA or CEQA Guidelines.
