Subject: Consistency Determination Application for LEGOLAND California,
Proposed Splash Pad at "Waterworks Cluster,''
SDP 96· 14(F); CDP 96-16(F). (:,() (cl -/b
Dear Mr. Lynch and Mr. Jimeno,
A Minor Site Development Plan and Minor Coastal Development Permit was approved
by the City in January of 201 O for the proposed "Waterworks" Cluster (water park), at
LEGOLAND California. Please find attached an application and drawings for a
Consistency Determination pursuant to a minor revision to the approved SDP/CDP.
The previously approved SDP/CDP included two attractions identified for a "future
phase": the "Mini Master Blaster" and the "Mini Boomerango". At this time, LEGOLAND
has opted not to construct these attractio ns and proposes a different attraction at the
same location--the "Zoo" Splash Pad. This is a water play area consisting of interactive
water features themed as zoo animals. The area is intended for LEGOLAND's younger
age visitors. The proposed attraction will not occupy the entire space originally
allocated for the Mini Master Blaster and Mini Boomerango attractions, therefore, the
balance of space is reserved for a future, as yet undetermined attraction.
The attached drawings are numbered to replace sheets of the same numbers in the
approved SDP/CDP. Two sheets are new, numbers A· 14 (attraction plan & artist's
rendering), and C-5 (conceptual grading and wet utilities).
Please do not hesitate to contact me, or the applicant, Mr. Chris Romero (LEGOLAND),
if you have any questions while reviewing the application. Thank you for your
assistance.
Best Regards,
,g~J~Qd-
