SUBJECT: CD 09-02-LEGOLAND INNER PARK EXPANSION
The Planning Director has completed a review of your application for a Consistency
Determination regarding the development of the "Adventure Area", (APN: 211-100-09-00). After
careful consideration of the circumstances surrounding this request, the Planning Director has
determined that the application qualifies for a consistency determination with the approved Site
Development Plan SOP 96-14(B) permit and therefore, approves the changes to the-project
based on Planning Director Administrative Policy No. 35. The "Agua drags" and two retail
buildings totaling 1,600 square feet were traded out for the previously approved Adventure area
improvements per CD 07-14. These new improvements are to also include the coconut tree
climb, Jacob's ladder, and 819 sq ft game structure and 160 sq ft storage structure as part of
the expanded "Lost Adventure" area. The Adventure area was previously occupied by the
approved but not developed "Drome" attraction.
This project shall comply with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board San Diego
Region Order No. R9-2007-01 as well as the City of Carlsbad's Standard Urban Storm Water
Mitigation Plan (SUSMP) as included in Volume 4 of the Engineering Standards. The applicant
shall submit with the Building Permit application a Storm Water Standards Questionnaire and a
Project Threat Assessment Worksheet for Determination of Construction SWPPP Tier Level
together with the appropriate forms and reports as required per the questionnaire and
worksheet.
Please submit one (1) blueline copy (24" X 36") of all applicable exhibits for the project file and a
reproducible 24" X 36" mylar copy of the amended site plan. The mylar must be submitted,
stamped "Consistency Determination", and signed by the Planning Director prior to issuance of
any building permits for the project.
