CLOSED SESSION:
City Attorney Cindie McMahon read the City Council into Closed Session.
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4:15 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING EXISTING LITIGATION: That the City Council, by
motion, authorize a closed session under California Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) regarding
existing litigation in the matter of:
City of Carlsbad v. Patrick Guimond, Case No. 25CL000928N
Council Action: No reportable action.
ADJOURNMENT: By proper motion, the Special Meeting of Jan. 27, 2026, was adjourned at 4:24 p.m.
