A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A VICE CHAIR TO PRESIDE AT PARKS
& RECREATION COMMISSION MEETINGS IN THE CHAIR’S ABSENCE
WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California was
established on Sept. 12, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 2.15.080 requires the Commission to appoint one
of its members as Vice Chair to preside at all Commission meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
2.That appointing a Vice Chair of the Commission does not require environmental review
because it does not constitute a project within the meaning of the California
Environmental Quality Act under Public Resources Code Section 21065 in that it has no
potential to cause a direct physical change or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical
change in the environment.
3.That the following Commissioner is appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the Commission
for a term ending December 2026: Amy Allemann
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission
of the City of Carlsbad on the 9th day of February 2026, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Winston, Allemann, Sander, Gisbert, Knight, Revell, Grove
NAYS: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: None.
