How it Works
The LE401 OCF can be used as
either a Sole Communicator or as a
Backup Communicator. When being
used as a Sole Communicator the
LE401 OCF will replace the phone
line connection on the panel and
as soon as it detects that an alarm
needs to be transmitted it will send
the alarm across the Cellular network
immediately. When being used as a
backup the communicator assesses
the connection to the PSTN phone

across the Cellular network to the
monitoring station.

CSFM listed
The LE401 OCF connects the alarm
control panel to the Cellular network
and reports alarm signals directly to
a monitoring station receiver
(Sur-Gard System I-IP/ll/lll/IV/5). The
LE401 OCF uses the Cellular network
to ensure low-cost, high-speed and
reliable alarm communications and is
compatible with control panels that
communicate using the Contact ID or
SIA (300 baud) format.
The LE401 OCF is compliant
with the latest requirements for
Communications Methods as per
UL864 and NFPA72 2010, 2013,
and 2016 editions. It can be used
in Fire Monitoring applications as a
single communications technology,

From Tyco Security Products
In instances where the control panel does not support
Contact ID or SIA (300 baud), the LE401 OCF has inputs pre-
set to transmit fire alarm, fire supervisory or system trouble.
Alarm signals are transmitted directly without the need of
a clearinghouse to the IF linecard of the monitoring station
receiver (Sur-Gard® System l-lP/ll/lll/lV/5).
Activating & Initializing the Unit
Activating and initializing the LE401 OCF can be done using the
website interface provided by 024 Communications.
No special tools are required.
Mobile Site for Easy Installation and
Comprehensive Maintenance
C24 Communications mobile site (m.connect24.com)
makes the installation a simple process and offers intuitive
trouble-shooting features, cutting down on time and cost
allocated to maintenance.
UL Listing
The LE401OCF is UL listed under File S4019, Listing guide
UOXX, as a sole or backup communicator for Commercial Fire
monitoring installations. When used as a sole communicator
under NFPA72 2010 guidelines the LE401OCF will send
its heartbeat once every 97 seconds ensuring that three
heartbeats will be received at the supervising station within
the 300 second window. When used as a sole communicator
under NFPA72 2013/2016 guidelines the LE401OCF will send
its heartbeat once every 5 minutes to monitor connectivity
with the supervising station within the 1 hour window. When
used as a backup communicator the LE401 OCF will monitor
the other communication method (DACT) and send a daily
test transmission to the supervising station.
CSFM Listing
The LE401 OCF has been approved by the California State Fire
Marshal (CSFM) pursuant to Section 13144.1 of the California
Health and Safety Code.

Honeywell FarenhytTM Series THE POWER OF CONNECTED
Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke
Detector & Photoelectric Smoke
with Thermal
IDP-Photo, DP-Photo-T and IDP-PhotoR
The IDP-Photo is a photoelectric smoke detector and the IDP-
Photo-T is a photoelectric smoke detector with thermal. These
plug in smoke detectors, with integral communication, provide
features that surpass conventional detectors and are for use
with the Farenhyt Series fire alarm control panels (FACPs).
Detector sensitivity can be programmed from the FACP software.
Sensitivity is continuously monitored and reported to the FACP. Point ID
capability allows each detector's address to be setwith rotary address
switches, providing exact detector locations for selective maintenance
when chamber contamination reaches unacceptable levels.
IDP-Photo and IDP-Photo-T have a unique optical sensing chamber
that is engineered to sense smoke produced by a wide range of
combustion sources. In the IDP-Photo-T, dual electronic thermistors
add 135°F (57°C) thermal technology to maximize detection.
The IDP-PhotoR is a remote test capable detector for use
with the DNR (W) duct smoke detectors. It is UL 268A listed
when used with the DNR (W) duct smoke detector.
Installation
The I OP-Photo and IDP-Photo-T plug into a compatible IDP-
series detector base. The IDP-PhotoR is a remote test capable
detector for use with the DNR (W) duct smoke detector.

DESIGN: Models IDP-PHOTO, IDPPHOTOR*, IDP-PHOTO-T, IDP-ACCLIMATE, SK-PHOTO,
SKPHOTOR*, SK-PHOTO-T and SK-ACCLIMATE photoelectric type smoke detectors.
Model lDP-PHOTO-T employs a 1350F supplement integral heat sensor which only assists
in a fire situation. This thermal circuitry is NOT approved for use in lieu of a required heat
detector. Refer to listee's data sheet for additional detailed product description and
operational considerations.
RATING: 24 VDC
INSTALLATION: In accordance with listee's printed installation instructions, applicable codes & ordinances
and in manner acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction.
MARKING: Listee's name, product number, electrical rating and UL label.
APPROVAL: Listed as photoelectric type smoke detector for use with listee's separately listed compatible
fire alarm control units and bases. All models are suitable for open areas and inside duct
installations with air velocities between 04000 FPM. Models IDP-PHOTO and IDP-PHOTOR
are approved for installations inside System sensor duct housing DNR (OSFM Listing No.
3242-1653:209) and DNRW (OSFM Listing No. 32421653:210)*. Models SK-PHOTO and
SK-PHOTOR are approved for installations inside Silent Knight SK-DUCT (OSFM Listing No.
3242-0559:162) and System Sensor DNRW (OSFM Listing No. 32421653:210)*
NOTE: The photoelectric type detectors are generally more effective at detecting slow, smoldering
fires that smolder for hours before bursting into flame. Sources of these fires may include
cigarettes burning in couches or bedding. The ionization type detectors are generally more
effective at detecting fast, flaming fires that consume combustible materials rapidly and
spread quickly. Sources of these fires may include paper burning in a waste container or a
grease fire in the kitchen.
