All Irrigation for Zone 2 shall be coordinated for the use of Recycled Water
Irrigation. Irrigation calculations -annual amount of supplemental water required
are as follows:

The above supplemental irrigation water calculations have been
developed from selections provided in the City of Carlsbad
Landscape Manual. All plant materials selected are in
accordance with the specific zones for which they are used,
IRRIGATION N01ES:
All planting areas to be irrigated according to plant type and environmental
exposure shall receive uniform irrigation coverage by means of an automatically
controlled, electrically activated underground piped irrigation system. for water
conservation and to minimize erosion. State of the art automatic controller with
master valve capabilities and low precipitation rate equipment shall be used. A
reduced pres<:ure backflow preventer will be used to protect the source of water
from possible backflow contamination (in the event recycled water is not available).
All pressurized mainline and lateral lines will be PVC installed below grade. All
irrigation syst,~ms shall be installed per the local and regional standards. Recycled
irrigation shall be designed and installed within the standards of the County of San
Diego Health Department.
The landscape and irrigation systems shall be designed utilizing all seven of the
principals of "xeriscape". Good design shall be achieved by separating irrigation
systems per the micro climactic and plant zones, utilizing efficient irrigation methods.
The soil shall be amended utilizing an agronomic soils report. Drought tolerant and
low water demanding plant material shall be utilized as much as possible, using mulch
in all flower and shrub beds. Proper landscape maintenance and management
practices shall be utilized.
