ANNOUNCEMENTS: If you desire to speak concerning an item listed on the agenda, a white "Speaker Slip" form should be filed with the Commission Minutes Clerk. Each speaker is limited to 5 minutes. Please remember to state your name and address for the record. If you desire to speak to the Commission concerning an item not listed on the agenda, the pink section of the "Speaker Slip" form should be filed with the Commission Minutes Clerk. Each speaker is limited to 3 minutes. Please remember to state your name and address for the record. V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 22, 2018 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting. VI. PRESENTATIONS: Present the outgoing Commissioner Roy Meenes with an appreciation of service plaque. VII. CONSENT CALENDAR: All items listed under consent calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion as listed, unless an item is requested to be removed for discussion 2 by a Commission member. 1. SR # 0318-1 COMMISSION SUMMARY REPORTS – (ACTION) To accept, approve, and file the January 22, 2018 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting Summary Report. PUBLIC OPEN FORUM VIII. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS: 2. SR # 0318-2 POLICE PILOT RANGER PROGRAM UPDATE – (INFO) Police Captain Mickey Williams will present an update on the police pilot ranger program. 3. SR # 0318-3 LIFEGUARD PILOT PROGRAM UPDATE – (INFO) Fire Chief Mike Davis and Fire Captain Nate Pearson will present an update on the lifeguard pilot program. 4. SR # 0318-4 DEPARTMENT REPORT – (INFO) The Commission will receive a report on recently completed and upcoming Parks & Recreation activities, donations and grants, as well as other topics of local interest. The remainder of the categories is for reporting purposes. In conformance with the Brown Act, no public testimony and no Commission action can occur on these items.
