Re: REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO PARK A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE IN THE
FRONT YARD SETBACK AT 4932 PARK DRIVE
The Planning Director has completed a review of your request to park a recreational
vehicle in your front yard setback, pursuant to section 21.44.060 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code. After careful consideration of the circumstances surrounding this
request, the Planning Director has determined that the findings required for allowing the
parking of a recreational vehicle in the front yard setback can not be made and
therefore DENIES the request, based on the following findings:
Findinns:
I) That parking in or access to the side or rear yard would not require structural
alteration to the existing residence or require the removal of significant or
unique landscaping.
2) That parking in or access to the side or rear yard does not require extensive
grading.
3) That the configuration of the lot and location of the structures on the lot do
not prohibit the parking of a recreational vehicle within the side yard.
