The improvements undertaken by the above-referenced persons
at their Highland Drive home have now been completed, and I am in
a position to finalize the demand upon the City of Carlsbad for reimbursement of costs incurred by them as a result of the
inappropriate stoppage.
The demand is for the sum of $6,348.92 broken down as
follows :
The cost of storing goods which would otherwise have been
stored in the garage had it been permitted to be completed in a
timely fashion, $1,500.00.
The cost of a survey undertaken to disprove the
Fees paid to the City of Carlsbad for the variance
City's contention,
Cost of grade beam design, $506.00.
Charges by Southern California Soils and Testing Service,
$454.50.
Cost of pier installation, including retrofit labor and

concrete, $1,560.00.
Legal fees in the amount of $902.34.
