We muld like to be included in the agenda at your nsxt meting, Mnday, October 20,
1986 to present a request for a variance.
Our back property Line is at the top edge of an 'ice plant bank (see Fig. 1) bordering an
cy?en spa= -pn.
We are in the process of re-landscaping ax back yard and the mrk included same re-grading and new drains. We have been given permission for both by Mr. Pbjcik in the Building Dept.
AS a result of re-grading, the back edge of OUT property is 24" laver than it had been previously. It has also widened oull graded lot pad in the SW corner, while the NW corner renains unchanged. The yellow line in Fig. 2 and 3 denotes vhere OUT chain link fence
was More re-grading . Brian Hunter of the Building Dept. has info- us that the fence was placed 3' in from the poperty Line.
We are asking pdssion to replace the fence along the orange line shown in Fig. 2 and
3. Note that the NW end of the fence Line will -in in its former position. Tne SW
portion of. the fence is the only portion that will change. Fig. 4 further illustrates the proposed area.
The proposed change is minimal, considering the 3' -in already all& by the City. The change muld make a considerable difference in the apperance of the back yard. W
plan to enhance the area with -11 shrubs and grass, whereas if the area me outside
of the fence, ws wuld be inclined to leave it as bare dirt. The enhancenwt could be vied by all through the chain-link fence and this wuld add b the park-like setting of the surroding area. ..

We are seeking legitimate approval by the annnission, rather than mve the fence without permission. We hope that you as a mmnission agree that we plan to enhance the area. we are mt asking b encroach into the myon; only to use the flat portion of the graded pd. We do mt plan b distrub the ice plant bank or the park space and have a deep respect for the wildlife and natural vegetation of the park.
