Dear Mr. Kubacki :

After speaking with you this afternoon, I checked with the City Clerks office to
determine what options were available to you in gaining a response from the City
Council regarding their decision of December 5, 1989. Basically you have three
options which you can exercise in any combination or separately. These are:
1. Anytime between now and until the items appear before Council, contact
Bonnie Dominguez at 434-2830 (Executive Assistant to the City Council)
and explain that you would like a council member to call you regarding
their decision on the Administrative Variance.
2. Write a letter to the Council explaining that you would like to find out
the basis for their position. Correspondence should be sent to 1200 Elm
Avenue, Carlsbad, CA 92008. You should identify whether you want a
verbal or written response.
3. Once notified of the Council date, appear at the City Council Chambers
prior to 6:OO PM and fill out a Request to Speak form. These are located
in the foyer just outside the Chambers. This should immediately be taken
up to the City Clerk or her representative. A Request to Speak will give
you five minutes to voice your opinion, but the Council may choose not
to respond to your comments.
In summary, you may want to exercise any or all of the options I have listed. In
any case, we will notify you once a Council date has been set.
