SUBJECX ADMINTSTRAM VARIANCE NO. 92-02 - Request to open park a
Recreational Vehicle in the required fiont yard
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Norton:
The Planning Director has completed a review of your application for an Administrative
Variance at 4866 Hillside Drive. After careful consideration of the circumstances
surrounding this request, the Planning Director has determined that the findings required
for granting an Administrative Variance can be made and, therefore, approves this request
based on the following findings and conditions.
Findinns:
1. That access to the side or rear yard will require structural alteration to the ehhg
residence.
2. That parking in or access to the side and rear yard would require extensive grading.
3. That because of the configuration of the lot, existing landscaping, the location of the
structures on the lot, and the sue of the recreational vehicle, parking of the
recreational vehicle in the front yard would not interfere with visibility to or from
any street.
4. That allowing the parking of the recreational vehicle in the front yard would not interfere with traffic on the street or sidewalk or would encroach into the street and
utility right-of-way.
Conditions:
1. The recreational vehicle shall not encroach into the public right-of-way.

You have the right to appeal this decision to the City Council within ten days of receipt of
this letter. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the City Clerk's Office at 1200
Carlsbad Village Drive in Carlsbad, along with a payment of $110.00. The filing of such
appeal within such time limit shall stay the effective date of the order of the Planning
Director until such time as a final decision on the appeal is reached.
