Dear Van:
Enclosed are copies of the Coastal Permit for the above referenced lots along
with the CUI de sac and street improvements for Chinquapin Avenue and a letter
to the Coastal Commission.
I need to bring your attention to one discrepancy in the permit. In the permit, it
makes mention of the construction of a 191 9 square foot single family residence
and attached garage. When we applied to the Coastal Commission for this
permit, we answered one of the questions on the application with this square
footage with the understanding that it was making reference to lot coverage not
total size of the building. As a part of the application, we also submitted copies
of the proposed house which showed the correct square footage of 3316 square
feet.
After reviewing the permit, I brought the discrepancy to the attention of Bill
Ponder of the Coastal Commission. After I explained the situation to Bill, he said
that rather than resubmit the revised square footage of the building back to the
Commission for approval and lose another month, he would acknowledge the
correct square footage in his file.

Since the permit will not correspond to the plans that we are submitting for the
City’s review and approval, I would request that you discuss this matter with Bill
