Date Hrs. GENERAL NOTES: GENERAL CONDITIONS ,GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION", A.I.A. DOCUMENT # A201, FOURTEENTH EDITION DATED 1987 SHALL BE INCLUDED AS A PART OF THIS DOCUMENT. THE PROVISIONS OF THESE GENERAL CONDITIONS, AS APPLICABLE, GOVERN THE WORK OF ALL SUBSEQUENT SECTIONS. SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS EACH SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS TO PERFORM THE WORK OF HIS SPECIALTY AND COMPLETE HIS JOB AS CALLED FOR IN THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. ALL MATERIALS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS, USING MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED METHODS AND/OR SYSTEMS AND USING COMPETENT SKILLED WORKMEN. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS INCLUDE THE AGREEMENT, THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND THE BID DOCUMENTS. THE DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE CONSIDERED AS ONE, AND WHATEVER IS CALLED FOR BY ANY ONE OF THE DOCUMENTS SHALL BE BINDING AS IF CALLED FOR BY ALL. MEASUREMENTS VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS SHOWN. NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY OF ANY DISCREPANCY IN DIMENSIONS. PERMITS, LAWS AND REGULATIONS PERMITS FOR THE PROSECUTION OF THE WORK SHALL BE SECURED AND PAID FOR BY THE OWNER. if SPECIFICALLY required, EACH SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE OUT AND PAY FOR LICENSES & PERMITS PERTAINING TO HIS WORK. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GIVE ALL NOTICES AND COMPLY WITH ALL LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS BEARING ON THE CONDUCT OF THE WORK AS DRAWN AND SPECIFIED. IF THE CONTRACTOR OBSERVES THAT THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE AT VARIANCE THEREWITH, HE SHALL PROMPTLY NOTIFY THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT IN WRITING AND ANY NECESSARY CHANGES SHALL BE ADJUSTED AS PROVIDED IN THE CONTRACT. IF THE CONTRACTOR PERFORMS ANY WORK KNOWING IT TO BE CONTRARY TO SUCH LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES OR REGULATIONS AND WITHOUT SUCH NOTICE TO THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT, HE SHALL BEAR ALL COSTS ARISING THERE -FROM. PLAN CHECK THE OWNER WILL FILE FOR PLAN CHECK AND PAY THE PLAN CHECK FEE. HE WILL ALSO PAY ALL OTHER FEES REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT. TEMPORARY UTILITIES WATER AND ELECTRICITY SHALL BE SUPPLIED AT THE SITE BY THE contractor.. USE SHALL BE KEPT TO THE MINIMUM REQUIRED FOR WORK IN PROGRESS. SAMPLES THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH FOR THE OWNER'S APPROVAL SAMPLES AND COLORS, AS DIRECTED. COLORS COLORS SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE OWNER. NO MATERIAL OR COLOR SHALL BE INSTALLED OR APPLIED WITHOUT THE OWNER'S APPROVAL. ALL COLORS SPECIFIED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE VERIFIED PRIOR TO THEIR APPLICATION OR INSTALLATION. SUBMITTALS SUBMIT three (3) COPIES OF ALL REQUIRED SUBMITTALS TO THE owner FOR APPROVAL. ONE APPROVED COPY SHALL BE KEPT ON THE JOB SITE. PROTECTION OF WORK, PROPERTY, AND PERSONS THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ADEQUATELY PROTECT THE WORK, ADJACENT PROPERTY, AND THE PUBLIC. HE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY DUE TO HIS ACTS OR NEGLIGENCE. EACH SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFE PERFORMANCE OF HIS WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL GOVERNING SAFETY AUTHORITIES OR AGENCIES. SUBSTITUTIONS AND PRODUCT OPTIONS MANUFACTURER'S NAMES AND MODEL OR CATALOG NUMBERS ARE REFERRED TO IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH KINDS AND QUALITY OF PRODUCTS REQUIRED. IF THE TERM "OR EQUAL" OCCURS IN THESE SPECIFICATIONS, OR IF AN "OR EQUAL" SUBSTITUTION IS DESIRED, SUCH SUBSTITUTION SHALL BE MADE ONLY WITH APPROVAL OF THE OWNER/CONTRACTOR.
