HomeMy WebLinkAboutCDP 97-21; Bagnall Residence; Coastal Development Permit (CDP) (2)NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Minor Coastal Develoument Permit COMPLETE DATE: August 6, 1997 DESCRIPTION: Increasing the size of an existing rear yard patio. The patio improvements will include the replacement of an existing 540 square foot patio which is located immediately adjacent to the existing dwelling unit on the lot and the addition of 427 square feet of patio to the east side of an existing patio area which is located along the edge of the coastal bluff. The patio flatwork will include flagstone over concrete base. A 6 foot wide concrete stairway and a 24 inch tall retaining wallheating area will be constructed between the terraced patio areas. All proposed patio improvements are located to the east side of the existing rear yard patio area, and no impact or encroachment upon the coastal bluff is proposed. LOCATION: This project is within the City of Carlsbad’s Coastal Zone at: 5029 Tierra Del Or0 within the appeal jurisdiction of the California Coastal Commission. ASSESSOR’S PARCEL NUMBER 212-020-1 1 APPLICANT: Michael Bagnall No formal public hearing is required for this application because (1) the proposed development costs $60,000 or less; (2) no other discretionary approvals are required; and (3) there will be no adverse impacts on coastal resources or public access to the shoreline or coast. Be advised that a Public hearing will only be held for this urouosal uuon the receipt by the City of a written reauest for a Public hearinp within fifteen (15) working days of the date of this notice, or bv September 8,1997. Failure to request a hearing or provide written comments within the fifteen (15) working day timeframe may result in loss of the ability to appeal to the Coastal Commission any action taken by the City on this Minor Coastal Development Permit Application. The PlanninP Director will determine this auulication fifteen (15) working days after the date of this notice if no uublic hearinp is reauested.
