HomeMy WebLinkAboutCDP 97-59; Levy Residence; Coastal Development Permit (CDP) (48)April 14, 1998 ,-- Mr. Chris DeCerbo City of Carlsbad 2075 Las Palmas Drive Carlsbad, CA 92009 CDP 97-59 Good Morning Chris, In a review of the mitigation plans being proposed for the eastern habitat setback, we would like to request a delay in the actual R@R of the site work that was originally required. This request addresses the issues of seasons and security. The removal of non native species, and planting of an CFG approved non irrigated hydro mix will have a much better chance of survival if done at the beginning of the rainy season, as opposed to early summer. Additionally, because of the remoteness of the site, we are reluctant to permanently fence the area until there is a greater human presence to protect it from transients. We would like to propose that we temporarily delineate the site, remove the non native material, and plant the hydro mix in an October-November time period. Once the project is complete we will permanently fence the entire site. Chris, it is our goal to make the mitigation project as successful as possible. We believe that this proposal has the greatest chance of achieving our goal. I hope that this proposal meets with your approval.
