The District is responding to your request for conditions on the subject project dated
August 16. 1999. Based on our review of the project (and not having contact with the
Developer/Developer's Engineer), we have the following conditions regarding potable
water, recycled water and sewer systems:
1. The Developer shall be responsible for all fees, deposits and charges which will
be collected before and/or at the time of issuance of the building permit. The
San Diego County Water Authority capacity charge will be collected at issuance
of application for any meter installation. (Code Reminder)
2. Prepare and submit a colored recycled water use area map and submit this map
to the Planning Department for processing and approval by the District.
3. The following note shall be placed on the final map. "This project is approved
upon the expressed condition that building permits will not be issued for
development of the subject property unless the District serving the development
has adequate water and sewer capacity available at the time development is to
occur, and that such water and sewer capacity will continue to be available until
time of occupancy."

4. Water and Irrigation laterals shall be located in accordance with City and District
Standards to the satisfaction of the Deputy City Engineer - Utilities.
5. Laterals for Fire Detector Check Valve Assemblies shall be located within
easements in accordance with all City and District Standards to the satisfaction
of the Deputy City Engineer - Utilities. The locations to be approved may require
additional easement dedication to the District.
6. All water improvements shall be designed and constructed substantially as
shown on the Tentative Map/PUD Site Plan in accordance with all City and
District Standards to the satisfaction of the Deputy City Engineer - Utilities.
Water improvements shall be located within an easement dedicated to the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District by separate document. The limits of such
easement shall follow the boundary of the private street as shown on the
Tentative Map/PUD Site Plan (approximately 30 feet wide) to the satisfaction of
the Deputy City Engineer- Utilities.
