Reference: SPYGLASS H /REVEGETATION ON THE CALTRANS PARCEL
(LADWIG DESIGN GROUP, INC. JOB NO. L-1065)
Dear Mitch:
Enclosed is a schedule I received yesterday from the engineer for the project. The grading plans,
improvement plans, and the final map have been through the first plan check level at the City, and
the second submittal will be made in the next week or two. As you can see from the schedule, the
grading permit would be ready to be issued and construction started the first week in January.
Prior to the City releasing the project for grading, the revegetation plan for the CalTrans parcel must
be approved and the native grasslands from the site removed and transplanted to the CalTrans parcel.
This leaves us a total of 12 weeks from today to complete the revegetation plan, obtain the necessary
agency permits, and City approvals to remove the native grasslands from the Spyglass site and
transplant them to the CalTrans parcel in addition to preparing the CalTrans parcel for the
revegetation work.
By now you should have received the mylar with the amended boundary that you had requested. In
addition as I have indicated on the phone, Terry Stewart is to be dropping off a letter at my office
today along with a copy of the sample agreement that we will need to have executed between the
Wildlife Agencies and the developer. The letter is going to serve as a document that will allow us
to proceed with the work and allow time to work out the details of the formal agreement.
Please submit to me as soon as possible, hopefully next week, the revegetation plan and text that I
can have our landscape architect and owner look at for any comments. As I indicated, we have a
total of 12 weeks to complete the plan, get all the approvals, and to remove the native grasslands
from the site prior to release of the grading the first week in January.
