RE: Carlsbad Airport Center Lot 10
Dear Mr. Lynch:
San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is currently reviewing plans for Tentative Map No.
CT 99-20, Carlsbad Airport Center Lot 10. Due to the restrictive nature of the SDG&E
200-foot wide transmission easement the review process is taking considerable time.
This parcel map requires that the SDG&E easement be used for primary parking.
Normally SDG&E allows parking as a secondary use encroachment. The California
Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) requires all encroachments within any SDG&E
easement must be approved and documented with a revocable agreement. Therefore the
planning of all encroachments must be thoroughly reviewed to avoid any future facility
conflicts.
SDG&E believes that all conflicts will be resolved to the satisfaction of both SDG&E and
Carlsbad Summit, LLC.
Sincerely,
JoTin J. Hernandez
