Re: Palomar Heights Plaza - 5 Building Project
Dear Mark,
As we discussed yesterday, the City of Carlsbad recently approved our project for the
five (5) buildings on lot 10 in the Carlsbad Airport Center. One condition is for us to
hook-up to the existing public water system at the building you manage at 1947 Camino
Vida Roble. In order to accomplish this, we need to obtain an underground easement on
behalf of the Carlsbad Water District from our property to the rear of your parking lot
(where there is a current water easement) as per the plans I left with you.
We would only being doing some minor work in the parking lot and would obviously
return same to the original condition. Moreover, we would prepare and pay for the legal
work related to mis transaction.
If you have any questions related to what other options we might have, please call Van
Lynch, who is the City planner for our project, at (760) 602-4613. Van has indicated to
me that the City could obtain the easement by condemnation in the event we can't work
something out as good neighbors.
