SUBJECT : CUP-1 03
The Church of the Nazarene has a lousy condition in their CUP. (See Resolution No. 1125, No. 14) It requires construction to begin on each phase by a certain date (with a one year extension). The church has missed the phasing. Their question now is, "Can the City grant them a deviation from the CUP, or will they have to amend it through hearing?"
I could find no reason why such a condition was placed on the I cj+,h]-BqT 50 church in the first place, nor can I remember any citizen,- Planning Commissioner, or City Councilman concerns. (Phasing was common practice in Carlsbad up to a couple of years agd-1 tlop
I can find nothing in the City Code or CUP-103 to allow such b>,d&f&y$l modification without public hearing. have any suggestions?
