I have lived in Carlsbad for more than 50 years and my family has owned property at 2757
Highland Drive all of that time where I currently reside. Our neighbor is the Las Flores Nazarene
church located on the corner of Las Flores and Highland Drive. We couldn’t have a better
neighbor.
Although I am not a member of the church I have friends who are and have attended services
there. I strongly support the church’s request for an addition to its facilities and do not see that
this would create any hardship on the neighbors surrounding this area including myself. The
church and its members show great consideration to the neighbors in the area to include parking.
I would much rather have a church as a good neighbor such as this one than more homes. I
strongly recommend to you the Planning Department to allow the requested addition to the
facilities of the church. I am sorry I cannot attend the March 17* meeting in person to represent
my view but hope you will take this letter into consideration in my absence fiom this meeting.
