Subject: Concerned about the "remodeling" of the Church on La Flores
Dear Ms. Kennedy -
My wife and I will certainly try and attend the meeting to be held on March 17th, but if we can't, we did
want to express our concern on two matters specifically.
We live on Chuparosa Way, just off of Las Flores. The traffic on Las Flores is getting "faster" and
certainly much worse. The expansion of the Church on Las Flores will only attract more people to our
"quiet" community and this is UNDESIREABLE. We have two small children who play on our cul-de-sac
frequently, along with some small neighbor children and traffic constantly uses our street as a "turn around
point" which we feel places the children in danger. The increased church traffic and comotion will NOT
help matters.
Additionally, we request that a "STOP SIGN" be placed at the "BLIND CORNER" of Las Flores and Pi0
Pic0 - as this is a location that is extremely blind and dangerous. The traffic simply moves to quickly down
the hill heading west on Las Flores and this sign will slow people down as they are entering a "school
zone" and our community from 1-5. Please direct this concern and request to the individual responsible for
constructing a sign at this intersection or let me know who we need to contact. Lastly, we would like to
request that an additional sign be placed at the corner of Chuparosa Way and Las Flores that reads "NOT
A THROUGH STREET" - so people are aware of this coming off of 1-5. We hope this will deter the "turn
around" traffic, One last request, we ask that a street light be placed at the end of Chuparosa Way to
provide better lighting at night - the street is very dark.
Thank you for your attention to these concerns and your assistance with detering the expansion of the
Church.
Sincerely,
Pat & Erin Brennan (and the neighborhood) 1314 Chuparosa Way
