NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to you that the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad will
hold a public hearing at the Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad,
California, at 6:OO p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, to consider a request for approval of
a retroactive extension of CUP 146(B) to allow the continued operation of a church at 1975
Chestnut Avenue in Local Facilities Management Zone 1 and more particularly described as:
That portion of the most southwesterly five acre parcel of Tract
250 of Thum Lands, in the City of Carlsbad according to Map
thereof No. 1681, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San
Diego County, December 9, 191 5
Those persons wishing to speak on this proposal are cordially invited to attend the public
hearing. Copies of the staff report will be available online at
http://www.ci.carlsbad.ca.us/pdfdoc.html?pid=295 on or after October 12, 2005. If you have any
questions, please call Chris Sexton in the Planning Department at (760) 602-4624.
If you challenge the retroactive extension of the Conditional Use Permit in court, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described
in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Carlsbad at or prior to the
public hearing.
