In this day and age it is most comnendable that any
community would have the foresight to provide for
it's youth any type of supervised recreation. When
the youth of today has something of value and impor-
tance to him, it is a matter of pride to demonstrate
its beauty and prowess. We compare this to a horse
on a race track, a boxer in the ring, or a racing vehicle on the race track. These are today's facts of life. We will compare horses on the race track,
boxers in the ring and race cars on their race track. Properly supervised, we firmly believe that the
National Hot Rod Association isthe best agency to care for the youths who race their cars.
A well supervised drag strip in any community cannot be any more condemned than a horse track, a boxing
ring, or an auto race track. have what many people consider "necessary evils" on
a supervised drag strip than to have these vehicles, hot-rods, or dragsters running the streets and assuming their own authority. We firmly believe in a supervised
drag strip. We believe this ia an asset to the youth
and the community.
It is far better to
Respectfully yours,
