We, hereby, formally register and file our protest to the granting of said application. We believe that the construction and operation of a drag strip on the property in question would have the immediate result of depre- ciating the value of all other properties in the immediate area. We further believe that such an operation would very substantially delay the development and improvement of other property in the area. We believe that any immediate tax revenues received from a drag strip operation will be more than offset by long term revenue losses resulting from a depreciation in property valuations and a serious delay in the development of other properties in the area. We seriously believe that if the conditional use permit is granted and a drag strip is constructed may constitute both a public and private nuisance. We have instructed our attorney to prepare to file appropriate plead- ings for injunctive relief in the event that the permit is granted and the operation of the strip results in the creation and mainten- ance of a nuisance. on the property that the drag races We believe that there is also a serious lack of adequate access to and from the proposed drag strip site and if the permit applied for is granted we will expect adequate police protection to prevent wholesale trespasses upon and across our properties by the patrons of the races.
