SUBJECT: EIA NO. 628; CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (NO. 628) TO ALLOW THE ERECTION OF A 3,000 SQUARE FOOT METAL
BUILDING (COAST WASTE MANAGEMENT)
DISCUSSION
The applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a 3,000 square foot metal building
on residentially zoned property located on the east side of Ponto Drive. The subject property has been developed by the Coast Waste Management Company with office and storage
facilities used in conjunction with their refuse disposal operation.
More specifically, a 53' x 61' building is proposed along
the eastern edge of the site. as a garage for maintenance of Coast Waste Management vehicles.

Since the property has been previously developed and the project involves only the construction of a relatively minor accessory structure, no significant impacts to any environmental features are anticipated. no significant landform alteration is proposed. The applicant has indicated that
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that a declaration of negative environmental impact be issued with regard to the project based on the following justification.
JUSTIFICATION
1) The site has been previously developed and therefore the proposed structure will not have any adverse impacts on any significant environmental resources.
No additional landform alteration or site modification is proposed which could result in any potentially
significant environmental impacts.
