NOTICE OF DECLARATION
NONSIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Carlsbad has issued Negative Declarations for the following projects:
LOG NO. 647: The proposed project involves the development of . a bank/office complex on a 2.4 acre site located at the corner of El Camino Real and Hosp Way. The project is the completion of the Carlsbad Plaza South Shopping Center. A total of 3 separate buildings will be constructed. Two buildings will consist of two-story office structures, ranging in area from 8900 to 11,900 square feet. In addition a 5400 sq.ft., drive thru bank is proposed in the southwest quadrant of the site.
The property has been graded to an approximate 3% slope. The site is devoid of any significant flora or fauna. Approximately 50 cubic yards of additional grading is also proposed. An environmental impact report was prepared for the Carlsbad Plaza
South commercial center, of which the subject property is a part. Since the site has been previously disturbed and is devoid of any significant environmental resources, in addition to the fact that the immediate area has been committed to similar development, no significant environmental impacts are anticipated from the project.
