SUBJECT: CUP 184(B) - DANIELS CABLEVISION BUILDING EXPANSION
Preliminary Staff Report
The preliminary staff report for the above referenced project will be available for you to
pick up on Friday, March 13, 1992, after 8:OO a.m. This preliminary report will be
discussed by staff at the Development Coordinating Committee (D.C.C.) meeting which
will be held on Monday, March 23,1992. A twenty (20) minute appointment has been set
aside for you at 9:30 a.m. If you have any questions concerning your project, you should
attend the D.C.C. meeting.
It is necessary that you bring your required unmounted colored exhibits(s) with you
to this meeting in order for your project to go forward to the Planning Commission.
If you do not plan to attend this meeting, please make arrangements to have your
colored exhibit(s) here by the scheduled time above.

LIST OF ITEMS NEEDED
TO COMPLFiTE APPLICATION:

PLANNING:
1. The following information is needed on the site plan:
a. A vicinity map showing adjacent cross streets, residences, and other facilities,
as well as the distance from such facilities. This map may be added to the
existing site plan or created as a separate plan.
b. Clearly indicate on the site plan which facilities are existing and which are
proposed.
c. provide property lines. Please indicate what the line surrounding the facility
represents. If it is a fence, indicate the materials and height of the fence.
d. The materials and colors of the building addition need to be integrated into
the existing building‘s architecture. this simply needs to be noted on the
plans.
e. Indicate the diameter of the existing and proposed dishes on the site plan.
Also, indicate the location of the proposed dishes on the east elevation plan
and the height of the proposed and existing antennas.
f. Provide contour lines and spot elevations on the site plan. Staff would
specifically like to know how high the berm is between the facility and the
residences.
2. The public facility fee agreement does not contain all of the necessary signatures.
The omer(s’) signature(s) is needed with notarization. Please provide two copies
of the PFF Agreement With the appropriate signatures and notarization.
ISSUES OF CONCERN
PLANNING:
1. A potential issue may involve the effects of microwave transmissions, and more
importantly, the accumulative effects of microwave transmission on adjacent
residences. The concern involves the combined effects of the existing and proposed
cablevision facility, the existing Pac Bell facility (which is currently proposed for
expansion), and the existing radio station. Please provide some information and a
response regarding the above concern.
