We are retuning the agreement you signed on January 22, 1992 because the
acknowledgement of signature was for an individual not a corporation. Our City Attorney
has determined that we need a corporation form of acknowledgement that includes the
language that the corporation has executed the document. An.example of an acceptable
notarial certificate is enclosed as well as a clean agreement.
For questions please contact me at (619) 438-1161, extension 4500.

NOTARIALCERTIFICATES
The notarial certificate or acknowledgement provides assurance that the person signing the
document is who he says he is and is signing of his own free will. Improper notarization can
invalidate a document. The planchecker must review all acknowledgements for form, content and
legibility. Acknowledgements may be taken by notary publics or others as listed in the appendix.
The forms of acknowledgement must substantially follow the most common examples shown below or
those listed in the Appendix B, Exhibit 1.
