SUBJECT: CARLSBAD RACEWAY CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
Gentlemen:
This commission is unanimously in favor of an extension of
subject conditional use permit.
years the drag strip will no longer be used for that purpose
and that in a sense the property will take on the characteris-
tic of a privately operated family recreation facility. The
site presently is utilized for recreational activities other
than drag racing, and it is our understanding that the owner has made the facility available to local groups, free of charge, for limited activities.
Considering the site location within the flight path of Palomar Airport and the applicant's desire to cooperate with the com-
munity as in the past, we feel the request is worthy of a
favorable vote.
