Mr. Larry Gris:?er Carlsbad Raceway Carlsbad, CA 92008
Dear Mr. Grismer:
On behalf of several neighbors in our area, I have been asked to write to you. Especially within the past year, the residents of the Meadowlark comrriuTlity of San Marcos are being adversely affected by the increasing noise from Carlsbad Raceway.
it is often not possible for residents to'speak in normal coa- versational voices during the races. Although trith cooler weather windows and doors have been closed, the noise from the raceway has continued to compete with televisions snd radios inside. '
nepending upon the location of the housing.and topography,
San Diego County code, Ordinance #4387, states: "Every person is entitled to an environment in which thz noise is not detrimental to his or her ... enjoyment of property."
.. concern is whether you are contemplating increasi'ng activity with dragsters at the raceway.
You are a good neighbor. We just hope you will realize that we are affected and will take necessary action'to control the level and intensity of noise, possibly by the installation
of an adequate buffer.
A big
Sincerely yours,
