SUBJECT: Chappee Conditional Use Permit
The City Council at their adjourned meeting of October 18, 1973 received a report on the Wrecking Yard operated by Mr. Chappee under a Conditional Use Permit issued by the City of Carlsbad. The report indicated that the operation may well be in violation of the terms of that Permit.
The Council instructed this office to take any and all steps necessary to insure that if the operation is to continue that it do so in compliance with all the terms of the Conditional Use Permit. In that regard I will appreciate receiving copies of any information held in your respective departments regarding Mr. Chappee and his operations.
As soon as I receive that information I will formulate a formal letter to Mr. Chappee as the first step in insuring that any out- standing requirements applicable to his operations are met.
