SUBJECT: PILQRM CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH - CUP 85(8)
Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning
Department has reviewed your Land Use Permit, application no. CUP 85(5), as to its
completeness for processing.
The application is incomplete. Attached are two lists. The first list is information which
must be submitted to complete your application. All list items must be submitted
simultaneouslv at the Communitv Development Buildinu counter, and to the
attention of Erin Letsch. A COPY of this list must be included with vour submittal.
No processing of your application can occur until the application is determined to be
complete. The second list is issues of concern to staff. When all required materials
have been submitted as outlined above, the City has 30 days to make a determination
of completeness. If the application is determined to be complete, processing for a
decision on the application will be initiated. In addition, please note that you have six
months from the date the application was initiallv filed, December 12, 1990, to either re-
submit the application or submit the required information. Failure to resubmit the
application or to submit the materials necessary to determine your application complete
shall be deemed to constitute withdrawal of the application. If an application is
withdrawn or deemed withdrawn, a new application must be submitted.

The number of classrooms along with the maximum number of students
and teachers occupying each classroom or meeting room on Sunday.
Specify on the site plan the number of parking spaces required versus the number
provided using a table to break down the required parking by use (see attached
example). Parking required for the sanctuary is 1 space15 seats or 1 space/700
square feet of assembly area, whichever is greater. Parking required for
classrooms and meeting rooms is 7 space110 students plus 1 space for each
teacher.
Submit a letter requesting the extension of CUP 85(A) which expired on May 28,
7990. The CUP extension will include the preschool (approved by CUP 85 in
1973). The cost of the CUP extension is $50.
ISSUES OF CONCERN
PU NNING:
1. We will have to extend CUP 85(A) so that it is a valid CUP in order to amend it.
2. The provision of adequate parking to accommodate the existing uses as well as
the proposed expansion.
ENGINEERING:
7. Supply a current title report for the entire project.
2. Replace asphaltic concrete sidewalk with portland cement concrete sidewalk.
3. Prior to approval of this CUP amendment, the applicant shall enter into an
agreement to pay proportional fee for the future undergrounding of all existing
overhead utility lines along the boundary of the project.
Also attached is a redlined check print of the site plan for corrections and
changes as noted. Please return the redlined print with the corrected site plan
to assist us in our continued review.
